Erik Karlsson is Not Happy with his Internet Service

Apparently having a Norris Trophy on your mantle doesn't get you any further with Canadian internet providers.

Via the Huffington Post:

Ottawa Senators star defenceman Erik Karlsson might make $6.5 million a year and is probably one of the most gifted players in the NHL, but that doesn't mean that he can get good service from his internet service provider.

Karlsson angrily tweeted about the service he was getting from Bell on Tuesday afternoon.

I hate BELL.! Paying way to much for way to little. I thought it was 2013 not 1999.!! Omg figure something out please.

What's worse, it seems that the Bell customer service rep helping the player hung up on him. Which led to a second angry tweet.

Perfect!!! sat on the phone for 2 hours trying to figure out why my internet is not working and the supervisor hangs up the phone. Classy

At least he seems to have gotten access to his twitter account.

He’s too wealthy to not know there are more than two ways to say to, too.

Beat me to it, red. I guess that makes at least two of us who know when to use too.

On the other hand, my shot from the point leaves a lot to be desired. smile

Yeah that Swedish jerk! Why can’t he understand English and all of its rules!  Plus he should know that twitter is as important as an ACT or Bar exam.  What a poopy head!

I propose a moratorium on criticizing his spelling on twitter, of all things, until your swedish is as good as his english.

English is a core course in Swedish schools. Swedish is not even taught in American or Canadian schools.

The point is if one is going to be making a public stink, it is much more likely to be taken seriously if it is presented with proper grammar and spelling. Even on twitter. These guys arrive to the arenas dressed in fine, tailored suits to give a certain impression. Why should twitter be any different?

That said, I have this guy on my fantasy hockey team not for his grammar, spelling or his efficacy in dealing with cable repairmen.
