Eric Cole Update

from the News & Observer,
Erik Cole spent 15 minutes on an exercise bike Thursday before hitting the pool to work on his upper and lower body, against the water instead of weights. It's all his broken neck can handle, but for the injured Carolina Hurricanes forward, it's progress. Little more than a month after fracturing a vertebra in his neck, Cole has resumed the lightest of workouts. His neck remains in a brace, and will for at least another 10 days. But so far, he's through the first of many difficult stages of a lengthy recovery.
