Either Way- Roberts Going To Toronto

from the Toronto Star,
According to a source, Roberts told Florida Panthers GM Mike Keenan that he is leaving Florida for Toronto — either as a Leaf or to retire. Roberts' threat to retire certainly won't do much for Keenan's bargaining power when it comes to a trade with the Leafs. One thing working in Keenan's favour, however, is that he could allow Roberts to retire and it likely wouldn't have a big effect on his salary cap situation. Should Roberts retire, his entire $2.25 million (all figures U.S.) salary would go against the salary cap.
