Ed Snider Wants Forsberg Back

Snider says the blueprint for a turnaround starts with Forsberg. It doesn’t sound like Snider wants anything to do with one of those “rental’’ arrangements, where a player is sent to a contender and then re-signed in the summer, either.
“Absolutely I want him back, he’s one of the greatest players to ever play the game,’’ Snider said. “I don’t want to lose him. We’ve been trying to sign him to an extension and we’ve been unsuccessful because he wants to know that he’s healthy and maybe he’s not happy with the performance of the team.
“But the bottom line is, we really want him back.’‘
