Eaves Out 6-8 Weeks

Detroit Red Wings will forward Patrick Eaves will have surgery on Monday to repair his fractured jaw and is expected to be out for six-to-eight weeks, general manager Ken Holland said on Sunday.
“I talked to him, I don’t think he ever lost consciousness,’’ Holland said. “They did a CAT scan. Everything else is OK.
“Once they get in for the surgery, they’ll decide exactly what they need to do.’‘
