Eaves Out 6-8 Weeks

from Ansar Khan of Mlive,

Detroit Red Wings will forward Patrick Eaves will have surgery on Monday to repair his fractured jaw and is expected to be out for six-to-eight weeks, general manager Ken Holland said on Sunday.

“I talked to him, I don’t think he ever lost consciousness,’’ Holland said. “They did a CAT scan. Everything else is OK.

“Once they get in for the surgery, they’ll decide exactly what they need to do.’‘
