20+  games would be my guess.

5 regular seasons left for the Hawks.

In-person hearing does not mandate a suspension of more than 5 games but most often it does.

I’m going by the McLennan suspension from a few years ago when he tried to chop Mule in half.  He received a pretty hefty punishment for that if I recall.

Maybe it’ll be 3 games, likely 2.

I would be surprised if it is more than 5 games… Any other player, maybe 10. I bet he gets 3.

Hmmm.  do we punish the most crucial player on the current SC champion team for a very dangerous play?  Do we investigate the front runner for MVP/Art Ross just because his DNA turned up under someone’s finger nails?  I think not.  Wouldn’t want to confuse our fan base.

Don’t worry, they aren’t paying any attention to the team for another 4 weeks.

This wasn’t a hockey play gone wrong, and Keith has a history of swinging his stick in retaliation at someone’s head.  You just can’t have that in the league.  7 or 8 games minimum is where the league should be looking.  I think 10 games would reasonable.

So of course I fully expect him to get exactly 5 games.  “Here Duncan, have some time off before the playoffs so you’ll be fresh”.

All kinds of intent with that one.  Yeah, its slow motion, but you can see him look at exactly where his stick goes before he takes the swipe.

Personally I say he gets 7 games, though honestly it should easily be 12 (enough to ensure he doesn’t play in the first round).

Sorry, the NHL should be investigating rape allegations?

Thought they gave in person if it was 5 or more?

Posted by HockeytownOverhaul on 03/30/16 at 03:45 PM ET

actually in person is if it’s a potential 6 or more penalty

thus my guess is 6

2nd guess would be 7

He should be suspended for the rest of the season. Of course he won’t as he is an adored Slackhawk. a no class team. mad

Has always been a dirty player; finally, something even the NHL couldnt completely ignore…

Great player, but has always come off as extremely arrogant and as someone without much respect for his opponents.

Some rest for the playoffs is probably what he’ll end up with.
