Drew Doughty Will Hit 1000 Games Played Tonight

LOS ANGELES (Jan. 27, 2022) – LA Kings defenseman Drew Doughty will play in his 1,000th regular-season game tonight at UBS Arena against the New York Islanders. He will become the 359th player in NHL history to reach the league-recognized milestone.

A two-time Stanley Cup champion, Doughty will be the 12th player to skate in at least 1,000 games with one franchise and miss fewer than 40 games from his first to his 1,000th. He will be just the fifth player in franchise history to appear in 1,000 NHL games with the team and the 24th player to accomplish the feat in a Kings uniform.
