Dreaming Of Crosby In Montreal

from Renaud Lavoie of RDS (translated),

Crosby has always admitted that he enjoyed working with Michel Therrien, the evidence is that he contacted him to congratulate him on his appointment in Montreal and if Sidney Crosby had to switch sides, he would arrive in familiar territory to Montreal.

Obviously we can afford to dream. The reality is that Sidney Crosby has another year of contract and it is clear that the Penguins will do everything to keep him and rightly so.

Still, Montreal is secure and you never know what the future holds.

Cocaine is a helluva drug. Crosby will finish his career in Pittsburgh.

Technically speaking, anything’s possible.  But Pittsburgh seems to actually be able to hold on to their top talent.  So just more well digging for Montreal columnists.  That’s almost like saying the Wings would have ever traded Lidstrom or Datsyuk

I love the Canadian sports press. The chances of MTL snagging Crosby are only SLIGHTLY better than someone cloning Gordie Howe and offering a roster of all Howes to compete in the NHL.

I think if, for whatever reason Crosby and Pitt could not come to terms, Montreal is the number one likely landing spot. But not because Therien’s there. There’s a difference between wishing your old jerk boss well in his new gig and quitting your current one to join him.
