Draper Very Honored To Play For Canada

For Kris Draper, though, the news came an hour before the official announcement, at around 4:15 p.m., when general manager Steve Tambellini called to congratulate him for making the 23-man roster. It was a call that soothed much-rattled nerves and cast a new glow on a career that already includes three Stanley Cup championships, a Selke Trophy as the NHL's best defensive forward, and the 2004 World Cup. "Being selected has to be the highlight of my career," Draper said Wednesday evening.
