Do You Wan To See Forsberg Back In The NHL?

from Adrian Dater of the Denver Post,

Like a lot of you out there, I’m torn. A big part of me wants to see Peter Forsberg come back and play again for the Avalanche. Another side of me doesn’t want him to end up looking like Johnny Unitas in a San Diego Chargers uniform.

Forsberg, in case you hadn’t heard, is attempting a comeback to the NHL at age 37. Matt Duchene, who played in the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday, was 4 years old when Forsberg first came into the league.

Americans are suckers for a good comeback story, and it’s no different with me. And on paper, this one isn’t some far-out fantasy like, say, Jim Palmer trying to pitch again with Baltimore at age 46 or Mark Spitz trying to come back and dominate swimming 17 years after winning seven gold medals at the 1972 Olympics.

Stop lying, Dater.  This is your friggin’ wet dream.

Forsberg coming back.  What a JOKE.

Maybe he can send inappropriate texts and pictures to an Avs worker and get more pub that way too?  Worked for Favre…. and neither of them know enough to know when they aren’t wanted anymore and to just go away.

If Forsberg comes back it will set the Avs back, not help them.

A healthy Forsberg? Yes.
A broken 37-year old Forsberg who’s chronically listed as day-to-day and needs to wear a KFC bucket as a shoe for his malformed foot? Not so much.

We could call him Bucketfoot.

Dater’s drooling.  And that’s always a bad thing.

Forsberg is a competitive, driven man. If he was capable of playing consistently at a level that was adequate to be effective in the NHL, he wouldn’t have been gone the last three years.

Regardless of what he says, his foot says he’s finished.
