Did Peca Go Against The Code By Ripping Bouwmeester?

from Vicki Hall of Flames Insider,
This is a familiar script. Former coach Mike Keenan took similar umbrage with panelist Matthew Barnaby 18 months back when he called Olli Jokinen a cancer in the locker-room.
“We’re not going to let Jay Bouwmeester or any player on the league be talked about in that manner by a colleague or a peer without challenging it,” King said. “That’s just inappropriate….
“I think he ridiculed him. I think he laughed at him….You bet I’m sticking up for and defending our guy.”
King’s major beef, it seems, is that Peca is a former player, and he’s violating the code by ripping a a one-time opponent.

even at the end of this video Barnaby takes a few swipes at Tanguay. Why no mention of this?

Who cares, that’s what Peca is being paid to do now?
Or do we need a whaaaaaaaaaambulance for J-Bo, the perennial underachiever?

Cry me a river, King… He ridiculed the guy, so what? A good answer to that would be for JB to have a great season. Grow some more skin there buddy…

I thought the code was that you don’t talk to the media negatively about your teammates?
Who the hell is writing new codes now?

I thought the code was that you play up to the value of your contract and don’t whine about it if you are accurately criticized.
