"We find ourselves in a position we haven't found ourselves in for quite an extended period of time," Lamoriello said. "But you don't look back. We have to look at where we are today and what we have to do to get to where we'd like to be." Where they would like to be is closer to the top of the Atlantic. The Devils have finished lower than second in their division only twice since they won their first Stanley Cup back in 1995.
