Devils Issue New Contracts

Per Colin Stephenson of The Star Ledger:

The Devils announced the signings of 12 players to new contracts, including 19 year-old goaltender Maxime Clermont, their sixth round pick in 2010, and free agent defenseman Peter Harrold, who spent the last five seasons in the L.A. Kings’ organization.

Devil fans, Peter Harrold will not score you 20 goals, nor will he make a flashy play that you will talk about the next day. What Peter Harrold will give you is 100% every shift, every game, and add skill and poise to your blue line - or at a wing position - both of which he played steadily and responsibly for the Kings the past 5 years. He is the type of player that fills in when he is asked and is the consummate team player. We are sorry to see him leave LA, but it is players like Harrold that adds class and character to this league.
