from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,
The Devils should have had a goal or, perhaps, a penalty shot after Jets defenseman Ron Hainsey grabbed the puck off the left pad of goaltender Ondrej Pavelec and threw it out to the right point during a scramble in front with 6:07 left in today’s game.
No Devils blamed referee Mike Leggo’s clearly missed call, however, for their 4-2 loss to the Jets.
It’s one of those things that I think if you put yourself at the mercy of the referees late in the game, that’s your own fault,” DeBoer said. “We put ourselves in that spot, so it is what it is.”
continued and if you want to watch the above play, TSN has it here (scroll to the 1:05 mark).
