Devils Continue To Struggle

10/18/2013 at 9:24am EDT

from Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice,

It’s seven games into the 2013-14 season and they Devils have yet to win a game.

Tonight, early struggles by goaltender Martin Brodeur and a three-goal deficit proved too much for the Devils to overcome in a 5-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators that dropped their record to 0-4-3.

They completed their five-game Canadian road trip with a 0-3-2 record and now head home to host the rival Rangers, who, no doubt, would like nothing more to add to their misery.

“We’re being tested right now. That’s for sure,” Devils captain Bryce Salvador said. “All of our character is being tested right now and we’ve got to make sure that we have our head up and realize that no one’s coming in to do anything for us. It’s everyone in here that’s going to have to continue to put on our work hats and make sure we’re coming and sticking to it.”
