Datsyuk- Part 244

Even though Pavel Datsyuk has signed a contract without an escape clause to play for the Russian team Avangard Omsk, the Detroit Red Wings haven't given up hope of re-signing the restricted free agent. Wings general manager Ken Holland talked with Datsyuk's agent Gary Greenstin Tuesday and was told Datsyuk is still interested in playing in Detroit this season despite signing the contract.
