from Rich Chere of the Star-Ledger,
Devils winger Damien Brunner said he was told he would be in the lineup Saturday night against the Rangers and was shocked to see differently when he arrived for the morning skate.
He said he was told after the team's loss to the Boston Bruins that he would sit out the next game against Minnesota and then go back into the lineup.
"We talked about it after the Boston game. Then they told me I'm in today, but now I'm not. So I don't know," Brunner said.
"I was surprised when I came in the dressing room this morning. I thought I was in. But we have to win every game and that's the lineup they want to try now. I'm going to be ready whenever they put me in again. It's not the time to get mad right now. Just focus on the extra skating and extra work in the gym."
