Crosby Takes Some Contact In Workout Today

from Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star,

There are no days off for Sidney Crosby.

The concussed superstar worked out on Thursday with teammates Dustin Jeffrey and Eric Tangradi on a day when the rest of the team took a break.

Cleared for contact since Tuesday, Crosby’s workout was tough. It was supposed to be. With a couple of coaches shouting encouragement, Jeffrey and Tangradi teamed up to rough up Crosby.

The worked him in close, off the face off and in the boards. At one point Crosby fell hard to the ice in the corner. He got up and kept working out. Crosby’s workout lasted about an hour.

continued and you can watch a short video of the workout below…

I’ve seen more contact in a peewee hockey game..hope Sid is ready returning after only a few days of contact. its quite different than his previous return. He practiced with contact for like a month the last time.  I really hope this is the last time sid has a comeback game. Also even if Tangradi and Jeffrey have sticks, I still don’t think they are getting the puck of Sid.
