Could Nagy Get $5 Million

from the Arizona Republic,
Daniel Briere hasn't played for the Coyotes in three-plus years, but the one-time Phoenix center may have an impact on his former team this summer nonetheless. An arbitrator recently awarded Briere a $5 million salary for this season after Briere notched 58 points in 48 games for Buffalo in 2005-06. Briere's point and game totals from last season are similar to Coyotes left wing Ladislav Nagy's (56 points, 51 games). Hence, multiple NHL sources are predicting Nagy, who was paid $1.98 million last season, also will be awarded a salary around $5 million for this season.
