Connor McDavid At Another Level

from Larry Brooks of the New Yotk Post,
So can we just retire the Mike Trout Trophy after awarding it by unanimous vote to Connor McDavid, whose goal seen ’round the world in Toronto on Monday only served to remind the hockey universe that someone very special who doesn’t appear very often on any national platform is in our midst?
Of course, in another time, Bobby Orr routinely scored goals such as the one in which the Edmonton center turned mighty fine defenseman Morgan Rielly into a dreidel. This reminds me that I could never quite understand how anyone other than No. 4 could have won the Hart Trophy back in the day, let alone a teammate, as Phil Esposito did in both 1968-69 and 1973-74.
continued with more topics including the Olympics...
