from the AP via the Globe and Mail,
Tim Connolly will miss at least a week of on-ice workouts because of a stress fracture in his leg, the latest setback for the Buffalo Sabres centre who’s missed more than nine months with concussion-related headaches.
Coach Lindy Ruff said Tuesday that tests revealed a break in a bone just below Connolly’s knee after the player complained of soreness that developed since he began practicing with the team 10 days ago.
“Talk about bad luck. He gets slapped with it again,” said Ruff, who did not say which leg Connolly hurt.
