Where do the fans for your NHL team live?
How far do they extend?
Are there any surprises?
The CommonCensus Sports Map Project
needs you to help us answer these questions! It is producing maps that show exactly where the fans for each team are located, based on the geographic votes of Internet users.
More on this project from the Seattle Post-Intelligencer
The CCSP is conducting a survey to find out where the fans of major sports teams are located. You go there and enter your street address and select which teams you support (you don't have to register or give your name), and the information is added to the database. Multicolored maps show the geographic breakdowns for MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA Division I-A football.
