Columbus Looking Ahead

Columbus Blue Jackets' general manager Doug MacLean made a curious observation last week, when he noted that as badly as things had gone for his team this season, he wouldn't trade his players, even-up, for the Minnesota Wild's — or for that matter, for the conference-leading Detroit Red Wings' either. MacLean's point was that while those teams may be better in the present, Columbus's future is brighter.
