from Paul Skrbina of The Tennessean,
Eight was enough for the Avalanche to score six goals Thursday.
Eight minutes, that is.
Eight minutes that weren't great for the Predators, whose one-goal lead lasted all of 31 seconds before the Predators tied a franchise record — and the Avalanche set one — by allowing those six goals one period. The six goals in eight minutes also was a franchise record for both teams — allowed and scored in that time span....
Predators captain Roman Josi agreed it might have been the worst single period in franchise history.
"This is a proud locker room and we got embarrassed tonight," he said. "We have to show a reaction next game.
"One of the worst, for sure. You can't give up that many goals. There was nothing for us. We got embarrassed. We can't play like that."
Catch six of the nine goals the Avs scored in a 9-4 win below.
