Chasing Joe Thornton

I am sure the Buffalo Sabres are happy to get ouf of San Jose with a shootout win, but they may want to work on their defensivezone  coverage...

Oh come on… that was awful, but ALL teams do this once in a while, get caught chasing, it isn’t like this is standard procedure for Buffalo and if I recall correctly San Jose didn’t even score on that offensive zone time. Sure they aren’t winning games but for the most part they aren’t being blown out either. Their real issue has been scoring goals not preventing them. How many times have they been shut out this season already?

If they wanted to shore up offensive firepower, trading Vanek was a “really brilliant move.”
