Someone should say a word about the code to Brett Ritchie
who kept punching Juhjar Khaira as he was hunched over and
headed down and then knocked him out as soon as he tried to straighten himself up
and threw another punch even after he was knocked out.

Brett and Nick Ritchie. The biggest dirtbags in the entire league.
They’re both good fighters. But somehow that’s never enough.
Dirty players themselves. But virtually every time they fight they keep
punching a defenseless player. They are the only two players I’ve ever seen
in the post-cap league who virtually never follow a code. It’s a Tie Domi approach
to fighting that almost every current player is long-past.

I’ve never really seen them called out. I’ve never seen anyone take it to either of them, including for continually punching teammates who are well-past defending themselves.

If there are bigger dirtbags in the entire league who are they?
One on Boston and one on Calgary. Two teams that seem to be allowed and
expected to play that way.

Good post, Lefty, the NHL takes the low road condoning these criminals.
