Caps Sign Nylander

The Washington Capitals have signed free agent center Michael Nylander to a four-year contract, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today. In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

From Tarik El-Bashir at the Washington Post,

Nylander’s deal will pay him $5.5 in each of the first three years and…$3 million [in the 4th year], which means the cap hit will be $4.875 million.
