Cap Issues for Lightning

Based on NFL history, a salary cap means never having to say you are sorry for not having the money to retain top-notch players. But with the NHL salary cap only 10 days old, Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Jay Feaster says he's having difficulty maintaining the stoic salary-cap demeanor when it comes to goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin. The NHL free agent period starts at noon ET today, and Khabibulin will be among the more attractive unrestricted free agents.
