Canucks Ready

from the Vancouver Sun,
Dave Nonis will clean up some unfinished business after he returns next week from his New Hampshire holiday, and it isn't Anson Carter, whose business with the Vancouver Canucks is over. Nonis will re-sign winger Trevor Linden. The player who for a decade was the National Hockey League team's foundation will become one of the last pieces of a puzzle assembled in remarkably short time by the Canucks general manager who has had a better summer than oil stocks. And the puzzle's picture is far more appealing than anyone envisioned when the Canucks, stale and uncommitted, collapsed in April and missed the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in five seasons.
