from Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province,
The Canucks have made it clear they will bring Reinprecht up at the end of the season when he will no longer require re-entry waivers. They will be adding an intense, two-way, battled-tested hockey player who is making $2 million a year. Not bad at all when it comes to adding forward depth.
He’s not going to step in and be an answer if Ryan Kesler or Henrik Sedin is injured. But he can fill out the bottom six forward group, giving the Canucks more options, especially if there are injuries.
The Stanley Cup playoffs are a war of attrition and you have to think if this team goes four rounds, at some point, they’re going to need him.
“It’s nice to hear that there’s confidence in you,” Reinprecht said.
