Let’s be honest. This team, at the moment, is not providing anywhere near the same level of entertainment it once did for its loyal fans, who pay top dollar around the league.

With the games bunched the way they have been, and will be the rest of the way, the Canucks often appear tired and determined to play the game as cautiously as possible.

The coach loves his team to play that way — management not quite so much — but both are probably right in being justifiably proud of what’s been achieved to date, in terms of hanging on until the cavalry arrives.
