Canadiens Make More Moves

Sportsnet has learned winger Mike Johnson of the Phoenix Coyotes has been traded to the Montreal Canadians for a fourth round pick. In another trade, Richard Zednik has been traded to Washington for a third round pick.

The Montreal Canadiens have been quiet since the free-agent market opened July 1 but on Wednesday made a flurry of moves, signing free agent forward Sergei Samsonov, trading away winger Richard Zednik to the Washington Capitals and acquiring winger Mike Johnson from the Phoenix Coyotes.
