Since Dec. 26, the Blue Jackets are a thoroughly respectable 11-5-1 in the standings. Even if they are far off the playoff pace because of their slow start, they are starting to make life miserable for some of the teams above them in the standings. Nash, meanwhile, has scored 14 goals in 24 games; is averaging a point-a-game during the Blue Jackets' surge; and has been in on 27.7 per cent of the team's goals over that time frame.
