from Aaron Portzline of Puck-rakers,
Blue Jackets left winger Nikita Filatov has told The Dispatch this morning via text message that he plans to return to Columbus in the fall for training camp.
“Yes, I’m sure I’ll come for training camp,” Filatov said.

Sounds like after bolting for the KHL thinking the grass is greener, he found out it’s not just sunburnt grass, it’s an actual brush fire.
I’m betting CBS sends him to Springfield (not Syracuse, SYR becomes ANA’s affiliate next season) and makes him earn his way back in.

That’s right - forgot about that. It’s too bad the Cleveland team has 3 more years on with the dive. That would be a much more sensible location for the minor league affiliate.

He lacks maturity and a work ethic. Maybe his time in the KHL will have corrected some of that, but I suspect he’ll be in Syracuse by the all star break.
