I looked at the numbers maybe a week ago,and as I remember he has years with 10mill.$ salary, and offcourse years with 7 or 4 even 1mill $,but his cap hit is like 6,7mill,WTF?
that is bogus if you ask me,too much difference,I could see 15% but not more than 30% difference between cap hit and salary

And now, all eyes on Bobby Ryan of the Schmucks. Kid wants a comparable pay to Perry and Getzlaf.
The Ducks have given him offers of five years ($25 million) and four years ($18.6 million). However, the high scoring winger is hesitant to sign a contract that lasts for more than three years.

Ok so NJ, DET, CHI, BOS, VAN, and whichever other team which had circumvented the cap now get a 10-15 year advantage on the other teams that respected the rules.
Doesn’t seem fair, now does it. But that’s the NHL for you.

Is that referring to new language in the CBA?
