Can The Flames Afford Glencross?

from Torie Peterson of Flames.com,

In addition to resigning Alex Tanguay, one of the biggest priorities for the Calgary Flames is to keep emerging winger Curtis Glencross with the team.

The winger is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st but is hoping to resign with the Flames before then.

“I’ve got some meetings here in the next few days and we’ll see how it goes from there. I think both sides want to get talks going, that’s the way it sounds right now. We’ll wait and see what happens.

“I’m real comfortable right now. Obviously my ultimate goal is to stay here in Calgary and stay a Flame. I’m from Alberta. That’s where my home is. But I’m sure if something doesn’t get worked out, which hopefully we can get something worked out, obviously I won’t be back next year.”
