from Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun,
“It’s time for us to get in the playoffs and kind of show people what we can do and get to the big stage,” said Jets left-winger Evander Kane. “I’m a guy who likes to perform on the big stage and likes the big show. It’s time to get there and perform.”
The Jets’ stated goal was to make the playoffs in the first two seasons back in Winnipeg and they didn’t shy away from those lofty expectations.
Until you believe you can take the next step, it’s impossible to do so.
Yet belief is only part of the equation.
The Jets must make the daily commitment required to build a winning program, putting in the work and making a concerted effort to bringing one’s best each and every day.
Raising the standard is what elite teams do.
