Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Red Fisher of the Montreal Gazette,
There are two reasons why nobody should be surprised that Michael Cammalleri has drawn a suspension for delivering a high stick to the face of New York Islanders player Nino Niederreiter, followed by a two-hander to the back of the rookie’s leg.
The first: NHL disciplinarian Colin Campbell judged Cammalleri’s irrational meltdown sufficiently dangerous to get him on the telephone to explain his side of it.
The second: Whenever Campbell has a one-on-one with a player, it’s not a matter of “if” -but for how long.
Know something? Yesterday was Cammalleri’s lucky day. When Campbell gets you on the telephone, the suspension is almost always anywhere from three to five games.
