Cairns Suspended

via the NHL,
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Eric Cairns has been suspended for three games, without pay, as a result of being assessed a game misconduct during NHL game #1022 against the Ottawa Senators on March 21. Cairns was assessed a game misconduct for an incident that occurred at the end of the second period. Cairns will miss Friday's game against the New York Islanders; March 26 against Montreal and March 29 against Florida. He will be eligible to return March 31 in New York against the Islanders.
