Bryzgalov Preparing For The Playoffs

from Dave Vest of The Desert Blog at PhoenixCoyotes.com,

Coyotes goalie Ilya Bryzgalov knows what it takes to win games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. In two postseason runs with Anaheim (in 2005-06 and 2006-07), Bryzgalov posted a 9-5 record, three shutouts and a 1.68 goals-against average.

That’s why Bryzgalov is excited to have a few more regular-season games to hone his craft before this year’s playoffs start.

“I need to fix something in my game because I start to make some mistakes (in) a couple games, and this can cost a game in the playoffs,” Bryzgalov said. “That’s why I think it’s a good week to work hard and fix my game a little bit and prepare myself for the playoffs.”
