Bryan Allen to Canes for Samsonov

Dan Murphy via Sportsnet TV reporting that Florida’s Bryan Allen has been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes for Sergei Samsonov. Twitter:

Bryan Allen told me he has been traded to Carolina.

Samsonov for Allen may well happen, but it has not happened yet. Allen has waived his NTC to go to CAR but FLA-CAR trade talks continue.

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has acquired defenseman Bryan Allen from the Florida Panthers in exchange for left wing Sergei Samsonov.

“Bryan is a good addition to our defense,” said Rutherford. “He has great character and experience and will add size and grit to our team.”
