Deals like these make Jordan Staal’s $4m per year deal look better and better.

Although I’m nervous to see what he gets next, given deals like these…

You probably know by now, but I believe it’s $5.25M per year (cap hit)

Really?  And Datsyuk gets harped on for not scoring 100/season?

Krejci’s a nice player and all, but… geeez.

This cap thing doesn’t seem to be working.

it seems like 90% of the NHL makes $4-5M per year. then the rest either make $6-$9 or the league min.

It’s pretty crazy. What has Krejci done to warrant that contract. He has hit 20 goals once in his career, and he isn’t exactly showing signs of improvement. He is a solid two-way center, but I’m not that impressed.

Looks like Jordan Staal can command $7M on the open market now, even though he has never even gotten 50 points.
