The Boston Bruins defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 1-0 on Friday and swept the teams' Eastern Conference Final series, advancing to the Stanley Cup Final, where they'll face the winner of the Los Angeles-Chicago series (presumably next Wednesday or Friday).
I can't help but think that even in the defensive struggle that took place on Friday, somewhat ironically decided by an Adam McQuaid goal tipped top shelf by Jarome Iginla's stick, that the Bruins did more than ride a hot goalie. They plain old out-classed the Penguins, and I would not argue that this was a "choke" job by Pittsburgh. The Bruins were just a level above the All-Star Penguin team, and the team's system of play out-shone the Penguins' stars by a substantial margin.
