Bruins defeat Rangers, advance to face Pittsburgh in Eastern Conference Final

The Boston Bruins defeated the New York Rangers 3-1 on Saturday night and have clinched their second-round series with New York in 5 games, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they'll play the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Can we call it what it is?

Torey Krug eliminated the Rangers.  Single-handedly, pretty much.

There’s your sign: Tortorella didn’t have an answer for a rookie d-man (still playing his first pro year of hockey at any level) that had only what, 1 game of reg. season experience?

On the other hand… Jagr vs the Penguins.  How can you not be excited about the possibilities there?

BTW just checked Twitter and saw this nugget:

With BOS advancing to the ECF, BOS’s compensation to DAL for Jaromir Jagr now is bumped up to a 1st rounder in the upcoming 2013 draft.  Jim Nill must be a happy GM indeed.
