Broken Hand Sidelines Moreau

from Aaron Portzline of Puck-rakers,

Moreau was attempting to block a shot taken by Anaheim’s Paul Mara, the puck striking him on top of his right hand about four minutes into the second. He knew something was wrong immediately. Witnesses say he fired his stick against a wall while making his way from the tunnel to the Blue Jackets dressing room.

“It’s broken,” Blue Jackets coach Scott Arniel said. “It’s going to be a while.”

This is a big blow for the Blue Jackets, who had relied on Moreau early this season to play on the checking line and top penalty kill.
