Brodeur Expects Stevens to Retire

from the Montreal Gazette, Brodeur said the Devils will miss Scott Niedermayer, who has signed with Anaheim, and Scott Stevens, who has been sidelined with a concussion. "I expect (Stevens) will retire," Brodeur said. "He's 41 and we haven't heard anything from him for a while. It will be strange not having Niedermayer in front of me for the first time in about 12 years, but we re-signed (Brian) Rafalski and added (Vladimir) Malakhov and (Dan) McGillis. We'll be OK."
