Briere Talks About Play Which Resulted In Him Being Fined

from Chuck Gormley of Flyer Files,
Following Monday’s practice he denied taking a swing at Prust, saying if anyone should face disciplinary action it should be the Rangers forward.
“There’s no doubt that was a blindside hit,” Briere said. “Kimmo never saw him coming. Other than him wanting to injure Kimmo, there’s no need for him to hit him. The puck is gone and you can’t change anything on the play other than to hurt Kimmo. Obviously, the only thing going through his mind is, ‘I can hurt him because he doesn’t see me coming.’”
Briere said that with time running out, there was little the Flyers could do to Prust.
“There were a few guys yelling at him, but what are we gonna do?” Briere said. “We can’t jump on the ice because then it’s an I don’t know how many games suspension.”
In case you missed the incident, watch it in an earlier KK post...

no kidding, the flyers are the dirtiest team in the league from that psychopath pronger down to cheap shot artists like briere. the flyers make me ill as a hockey team, ever since the 70s and bobby clarke’s slash of kharlamov.

Aforelisted posters are either blinded by the media or don’t watch too much hockey.
Flyers are way down the list in majors this year. Way down the list. And if you watched just one second of that Rangers game, there is no way you would say that the Rangers weren’t the dirty team.
