from Sam Carchidi of Broad Street Bull at the Philadelphia Inquirer,
For the Flyers, the all-star break cannot come fast enough.
Center Danny Briere suffered a concussion in the Flyers’ 4-1 win in New Jersey Saturday and is out indefinitely.
Late in the first period, Briere was flattened by Anton Volchenkov. Briere did not know if that was when he was injured; he was also hit by Patrik Elias in the third period.
Briere is the sixth Flyer to have a concussion this season, following Chris Pronger, Brayden Schenn, Matt Read, Claude Giroux and James van Riemsdyk.
Veteran right winger Jaromir Jagr re-aggravated a groin injury in the firt period and did not return to the game.
