From TSN:
Calgary Flames forward Brendan Morrison will undergo left knee surgery on Tuesday.
Morrison injured his ACL when he was tied up awkwardly on the boards with Chicago Blackhawks defencemen Niklas Hjalmarsson during a game last week.
Morrison waited to have the procedure because he was hoping to play on with a brace if the Flames were able to make the playoffs. However, it became clear that as the intensity of his workouts increased his knee couldn’t handle it.
