Kukla's Korner Hockey

from Jim Litke of the Associated Press:
Good luck finding the NHL All-Star game on TV.
And even those who do will likely be struck by how much it has in common with the NFL Pro Bowl, which is not necessarily a good thing.
Neither resembles the in-season product, mostly because nobody wants to play defense or risk getting hurt. That renders both exhibitions even more meaningless than their baseball and basketball counterparts, since the very skills they’re supposed to highlight don’t look anywhere near as impressive at half-speed.
The big difference, of course, is how many more people will tune in to watch pro football’s Hawaii showcase, anyway.
